Why I started this blog

I started this blog because a few of my best friends kept pushing me to do it! I love to send them links to items I think they would love, and I am a pretty meticulous shopper.

I’m doing “No-Buy 2025” and I have a lot of desire to keep up with innovations in the fashion world because I use it as inspiration create outfits from my existing wardrobe, but can’t actually buy it right now… hence the name “Carte Du Jour”. This is my “cart of the day”, a play on the term for “menu” in French.

So come join me and shop the things I would buy if I could! Send me a note if you have requests for specific items or styles you want to see more of!

Now that you know why I’m here, here’s a little about me!

I’m a CFO by day, with an obsession for numbers and problem solving. I pride myself on being the best finance dressed person you’ve ever interacted with.

I’ve been lucky enough to work in finance at a number of amazing tech companies – Apple, Brex, and Sonos to name a few.

I recently brought my finance and fashion passions together by joining a new startup as CFO. The startup is called Reshop, and provides instant refunds for online purchases. We’re building a ton of new features to help shoppers track their orders and refunds. I’ll post here about the big ones that make my shopping life easier!

I live in LA with my partner Adam and our 3-year-old golden doodle Frankie. Adam is originally from London and we spend as much time there as possible.
